Our Stitch and Bitch quilt group was started in 1990 in Silver Spring, Maryland. We started out as a group of 4 women who worked for a consulting firm with a very visible glass ceiling. We've long ago left that consulting firm and have added more members to our group. We still get together once a month for a great time of bitching and stitching.

I found this Geisha panel at Bayside Quilts in Olympia. Frank needed to meet our insurance company at our rental house for them to make sure our house was adequately insured. These colors are "perfect" for my sister's living room.
Now I am using satin stitch to sew the circles. I am thinking about "embellishments" but don't know how to do it. Do I use a thin bat and a plain muslin, and then put another backing to cover up all back of the embroidery stitches?
