I commissioned this metal art piece, it is 3 x 4 ft, composed of old license plates and Arizona Iced Tea cans. Carol Braden, who lives and works in Seattle made it for me. Her typical piece is a guitar shape made of license plates. It looks great in our living room, and unlike fabric, it will not fade from the sun in our west-facing windows.

Aluminum cans definitely fade from sunlight. If your window is polarized it may take awhile though.
