Queen-sized quilt, 25 blocks with bright batiks |
Oliver helping layout the blocks |
Our Stitch and Bitch quilt group was started in 1990 in Silver Spring, Maryland. We started out as a group of 4 women who worked for a consulting firm with a very visible glass ceiling. We've long ago left that consulting firm and have added more members to our group. We still get together once a month for a great time of bitching and stitching.

Jenny and I have been busy this week! the 25 blocks are done, just need to be sewn together, and maybe a 3" black tone-on-tone border added. I am leaving this work for Jenny to finish. when I come back, it will either all be done, or ready for a binding!
Great looking quilt. Why wouldn't they allow a raffle?

There was a Fed Reg notice about limiting CFC contributions ONLY to payroll deductions. I am thinking the CFC needs to get with the modern times and allow for texting donations from a phone if they don't want to deal with cash and checks (I think Red Cross does this). Anyway, I asked if USDOT was going to respond, but I was told USDOT was just going to wait for the final answer. If they don't allow cash donations, we'll just donate the quilt for some other fund raiser.
