I signed up for Kaffe Fassett class in Vashon

I signed up for this class "Sunlight in the Forest" at Island Quilter on Vashon Island in October.  I am excited to see him "in action" and how he thinks about color and contrast.  I might make a trip ahead of the class to get a few "focus" fabrics to start building upon.  This example uses the very large red floral that is fussy cut.  The largest squares are 12" finished.

I had a lot of fun at the class. It was a chance to play with lots of different fabrics. There really isn't a right or wrong. Both Brandon and Kaffe helped people select fabrics that made sense with some of the ones that people chose originally. One person who brought only batiks (tone on tone) was encouraged to try to prints. I am working on laying out the remainder (not enough room on the boards used in class), and don't have a solution for the borders yet.
